All current FVDES students should be continuing with their online courses


FVDES Registrations - Current and for 2020/21

FVDES is currently not accepting any new or returning student registrations for April – August 2020, or the school year 2020–2021. Aside from the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic, FVDES is being restructured, and will have a new model in 2020/21. The design of the model has not been fully established at this time, and therefore we can not take any registrations until the new model has been finalized.

Next Steps for Current FVDES Students

Chilliwack school-aged students who are currently registered as full-time students with FVDES, will need to register either at a “bricks and mortar” school or another distributed learning school for next year. To register at a school in the Chilliwack School District, please do so online at:

Current Students and the Completion of Courses

Course End Date
All students will be expected to complete their courses/programs, by June 15 2020 or before. We encourage students to continue with their online coursework. If you have any questions related to your courses or program, please contact your teacher(s).

Returning of Resources to FVDES
As students complete their courses, they will be returning their text books and other resources to the FVDES school site. The drop-off times will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am - 10:30am. Please bring the resources to the main entrance for FVDES and NLC at the school site. A drop-off box will be available for returning resources. Please enclose a note with the student’s name and the name of the courses the resources were used for. The refund for the deposit fee will be issued within a few weeks, after we have processed the returned resources.

Course Withdraws
If you are a currently registered in a Grade 10 to 12 FVDES course, and would like to be withdrawn from the course, please send an e-mail to the FVDES withdrawal account, and specify your full name and course to be withdrawn from. School age students will require a parent’s approval for the course withdrawal.
